Hahndorf is a cultural anomaly, a little Germany found smack bang in the Adelaide Hills where the main street is lined with the kinds of handicrafts and artisan shops that are ubiquitous in small historical towns across Australia. The star attraction is the Hahndorf Inn, or more specifically, the menu. Pork! Pork as far as the eye can see! There is a six sausage mixed plate, huge pickled hocks, ribs, steaks and chops plus sauerkraut, pretzels and potato bake. Wash it down with a stein of beer and you may never move again.
