Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

Spend the day testing your literary knowledge, listening to book readings and singing literary karaoke... all along the 96 tram

If you think literary nerds don't know how to have a good time, then get set for an education. This all-day hop-on, hop-off extravaganza offers all sorts of word-based activities designed to get you thinking, learning, and eventually, drinking and dancing. Test your knowledge at lit journal Meanjin's trivia at Young at Jackson's, test your reliance on Word's spellcheck feature at the Stella Prize's spelling bee, and celebrate the launch of The Lifted Brow's Medicine issue at the Wheeler Centre. When the language part of your brain is well and truly spent, head to the Toff for an afterparty and find out what crazy adventures your other Lit Hoppers enjoyed.

Lit Hop is part of the Melbourne Writer's Festival.
