Time Out Melbourne

Don't try to deny that you love dinosaurs. Why would you? Everyone knows that dinosaurs – from the mean-eyed Velociraptor to the majestic Brachiosaurus – are still the most badass creatures to ever stomp the Earth.

The ruling reptiles were brought to life in the hugely popular 1999 BBC series Walking with Dinosaurs. Since then, the live arena adaptation has been seen by over eight million people all over the world, and will touch down in Melbourne for just five days.

The show represents ten species of meticulously designed animatronic dinosaurs. The plot follows their evolutionary journey from the Triassic to the Cretaceous period, and depicts their movements and interactions with staggering realism. You’ll encounter volcanic eruptions and comet collisions. You’ll meet a 36-foot-tall Brachiosaurus. And you can bet that your old mate T-Rex will make an appearance.
