This is not a race but there are prizes. Glory comes from completing the 40-km ride, in six hours, through 12 sectors. But you don't even have to visit all 12. You do have to have fun.
At the finish line at the Brunswick Velodrome, you can: win prizes for 'cutest couple' or 'furthest travelled'; chomp down on some Beatbox Kitchen burgers; quaff a Coffee Supreme bevvy; or try the Brunswick Cycle Club's sausage sizzle. The only thing missing are trophies for the winners, but since anyone who competes automatically wins a good time, there would be a hell of a lot of trophies to hand out.
