Lexi Keeton and Michael Collins founded the 1929 Studios swing dance company in 2010, but with a true appreciation for that Charlston-mad era. As a result, 1929 Studios lovingly present ‘Smith Street Swing’ every Tuesday night. Get active and dance your winklepickers off!
We're sure you already have a number of burning questions – "Do I need to bring a partner?", or "Is it a problem that I don’t have dancing experience?" Well, you need not worry, it’s not 1929 anymore! You don’t need to be an expert and unless otherwise stated, you can rock up solo. Take your pick from an array of classes including the drop-in beginner swing lessons, the vintage partner dance class for beginners or even the social dancing event later that evening (free!).
The dance studio is open to all, no experience or partner necessary, and teachers Lexi and Joel are more than willing to share their passion and knowledge each week.
