 The Dinner Table is a series of communal dinner parties held at Kinfolk cafe, focused on combining food with Big Issue Discussions. No analysis of the latest Shire antics here folks. It's like TED, with food.
 
The next event will feature paralympian Carol Cooke, who has overcome extreme odds to win a gold medal at 51, and whose charity work has raised over $3m for people with MS to live out their dreams. Each Dinner Table event features a different guest.
 
The venue, Kinfolk, is a café equally fueled by philanthropic goodness, as many of their staff work on a volunteer basis, and their profits are redistributed to various charity organisations.
 
At $65, a ticket will score you two courses and a glass of wine, as well as an inspirational kick to the rear.
