The Wheeler Centre is kicking off 2013 in creative style with an ode to Maurice Sendak’s iconic work, Where the Wild Things Are. Celebrating 50 years of the imaginative story, the Centre is hosting a gala in which a range of Australia’s leading writers will share new work that is inspired by the tale. These writers include poets, journalists, dramatists, lyricists, fiction writers and more, each sharing their own take on the story as they re-imagine the wild thing within us all.
