Dare to Wear Day is exactly what it sounds like: you dare to wear something you normally wouldn’t. It's in support of the not-for-profit organisation, Fitted for Work, which helps women in situations of disadvantage attain financial independence.
In its third year and run as part of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Dare to Wear Day is hosting an outrageous 'Delightfully Daring Tea Party' in QV Square. Dare to Wear Day participants raise funds and awareness by asking others to sponsor them to dress up in daring and extreme garb for the day. With support from quite a number of other fabulous companies (Dear Gladys, Monster Threads and Moet Hennessey, to name a few) Dare to Wear Day is a chance for everyone; men, women and children, have fun with fashion, support a wonderful cause and maybe even win a prize or two.
