Find out why crime stories are more than just a fictional thrill

This free class will delve into the development of detective novels and how they acted as a literary response to the anxieties and perceived threats of increasingly urban societies. Taught by Professor Stephen Knight from Melbourne University, the class will explore the intriguing worlds of Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Peter Temple.
