Como House gets a French makeover

Calling all Francophile Melburnians – the annual French pop-up village is set to take over the historic Como House and Gardens again. Over three days, expect market stalls peddling French linens, cheese (from Shifty Chevre and Milk the Cow), bonbons, breads, jams, wine, chocolate and collectables. An added plus this year is the extensive range of classes and lectures – for instance, there's a Matisse masterclass and a presentation from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu about the art of fine French cuisine. Enjoy the roaming entertainment and broadcast of the June 2015 Fete de la Musique concert.

Our pick amongst a day of highlights goes to the French bulldogs dress up party. Last year, adorably squished canine entrants came as everything from a lamb to Harry Potter. Too cute.
