The Bendigo Easter Festival promises four days of roving entertainment, Easter treats and family fun from Good Friday to Easter Monday. The city streets will come alive with activities including Easter egg hunts, petting zoos, parades, markets, craft workshops and fireworks.

Victoria's biggest theme park, Adventure, will be staying open all of the Easter long weekend. Try out their two brand spankin' new attractions – the thrilling Wave Swinger and the Barracuda Bay Cruise, alongside restored old favourites like the Grand Carousel.

North Melbourne vs. Collingwood

Easter isn’t only about chocolates and bunnies! Get to Etihad Stadium to catch this Easter Sunday game where North Melbourne take on Collingwood, with gates opening at 3pm and the game kicking off at 4.40pm.

Easter at Queen Victoria Market

Queen Victoria Market will be adapting opening hours for the Easter long weekend. Make sure you also keep your eyes peeled for the Easter Bunny who will be making an appearance on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Sunday from 10am-1pm.

Eucalypt Festival: An Easter celebration

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne is playing host to the Eucalypt Festival in a celebration of both Easter and Australia’s towering flora. It's a spectacular time to visit – in particular, the Australian Garden section, which has been developed over the last 20 years. Kids are well catered for, with many activities including an Easter bandicoot hunt, Dreamtime tales, face painting and the Marvelous Mini Beasts section.

Luna Park will be getting into the spirit of Easter with a crafty activity inspired by Cirque du Soleil's OVO. In the lead up to Easter, get to the park to paint your own plaster Easter OVO (Portuguese for egg).

Fitzroy Gardens Easter Egg Hunt

East Melbourne

Explore the Fitzroy Gardens, hunting for the eggs at Cooks’ Cottage, bunny figurines at the Dolphin Fountain and little chicks at Sinclairs’ Cottage. The Easter Bunny will also be hopping along to make a special visit so make sure you pack your camera. Hunts will commence every half hour and bookings are essential.

Easter at the Country Races

Melbourne

Get the family together and hit up one of the country racing events this Easter long weekend. There are ten race meetings at towns across Victoria over the long weekend and $15,000 worth of prizes to be won. Each country racing course will have a $1,000 prize pack up for grabs as part of the great Country Racing Easter Egg Hunt.
