Designer / Carpenter
Tim Fleming is a visual artist and designer/maker whose practice focuses on carpentry of small objects and modular furniture systems. Fundamental to this practice is Flatland OK, a self-published zine in which Tim experiments with objects by hybridising functions, creating fictional products that blur fact with fiction. For Tim, the Ketel One Commission called to mind “stealth... under the radar” designs, perfect for Fleming whose Flatpack OK "painstakingly designs special things in limited editions, offering a very special co-mingling of minds servicing specific projects.”

1 • JUNGLE JUICE
Lets face it: this café is an institution for Melburnians (including me). I am at JJ’s as part of the ensemble known as ‘Jungle Dudes’ pretty much every day except Christmas.
2 • ASTOR THEATRE
Some of my best cinematic moments – like watching Sidney Poitier in A Patch of Blue (1965) – have occurred in the Art Deco splendour of the Astor.
3 • DR FOLLICLES
I really disliked having my hair cut until I started going to the rocking Dr Follicles. They medicate you with beer and cut your hair to thundering rock’n’roll.
4 • ST KILDA BOTANICAL GARDENS
An amazing natural arena for picnics or strolling. Watch out for the natural beehive in the Magnolia Garden.
5 • I CARUSI II
If you like pizza (and can you really trust a person who doesn’t?) then this is the place. Insane pizzas and some great attitude from the curly-haired Italian girl.
