Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

Art show Stitch You Up is the genius idea of writer-poet-artist yt sumner. "Think childhood trauma mixed with granny crafts," she says of her exhibition, for which she has embroidered scenes from horror movies and cartoons, most of which had some "monumental childhood impact" on her. Expect echoes of David Lynch, John Waters and Jem and the Holograms.

That's upstairs at the Old Bar. Downstairs from 8.30pm you can catch rock'n'roll from Link Meanie's Amazing Jukebox, the Perfections and the Tarantinos.

Entry to the launch is free before 8pm. The exhibition upstairs runs till Tue May 20.
