Jud Wimhurst explores his concept of 'spoilt children' with an exhibit at the new MARS Gallery

The new MARS Gallery site boasts high ceilings, new technological innovations and even more opportunities and spaces for artists to display their works. One such artist jumping on the bandwagon is Jud Wimhurst.

The Australian sculptor’s exhibit, Safe/Secure, uses helmets as the central motif of the display; each sculpture is meant to be a metaphor for safety and security—identifying different survival techniques humanity has created. With sculptures made of materials like epoxy resin, fibreglass, polycarbonate, glass, urethane foam and more, Wimhurst’s exhibit is sure to start the new MARS Gallery off in an intriguing fashion.
