Awesome nature in the eyes of a street artist

This event has finished

Before he heads off to Tel Aviv to paint a huge wall as part of the Castro Street Art project, Beatsman returns to Melbourne for his first show around these parts since 2010. His exhibition, Natural Progression, is just that: a flow-on from his Cosmic Nature exhibition of 2011 exploring nature and its capacity to confound the human mind.

Refining his unique style with a blistering new colour palette, Beatsman's technicolour totems meld organic lines with geometric symmetry much like the aesthics of nature. The gods he creates are ones to worship as reminders of our insignificance in the face of awesome nature.

Besides new paintings, the exhibition will feature new limited edition prints and unseen drawings, sketches and other materials, revealing his artmaking process and the natural progression of his work over the last two years.

Opening night is 6-9pm.
