Judith Ryan, Indigenous Art curator, will speak about the installations in memory of one of Australia’s most prominent Aboriginal elders, William Barak. Barak (1824-1903) was the last traditional elder of the Wurundjeri clan, an area situated around present-day Melbourne, and became an influential spokesman for Aboriginal social justice.
