After seven years of effort from the local community, the Abbotsford Convent is now buzzing as an arts, cultural and learning hub. The newest outdoor art exhibition is a great example of their work, as participants have responded with works that adhere to the theme 'Let me out!'
This was insipired by the site's history, where women both sought refuge, but were also incarcerated. Whilst inside, a lot of creativity occured as a way for those living within the walls to express themselves.
Some of the artists include Pauline Clayton, The Convent Quilters, Sal Cooper and Robyn DeVries.
Curated by Andrew Evans and Arthur Tanzi.
