Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

NGV's blockbuster summer exhibition is Radiance: The Neo-Impressionists, an insight into the stunning technique and vibrant textures of the movement inspired by Georges Seurat. Seurat's departure from the 'first impressions' style of the French Impressionists involved the melding of scientific method and emotional expression to create paintings that were both meticulous and expressive renderings of light and colour. The new NGV exhibition pays tribute to the complex works of Seurat and other Neo-Impressionists, in an unprecented Australian event.
