Robin Rhode is bringing the streets of Johannesburg to Melbourne in his debut Australian solo exhibition. South African-born, Rhode draws on the concrete walls and asphalt streets of Johannesburg, photographing his work along the way. The Call of Walls will display Rhode’s work through a combination of photographs and animation – his photographs often show someone interacting with his drawings, bringing a three-dimensional aspect to his work. The exhibition also includes an interactive gallery space equipped with coloured crayons, allowing guests to take to the walls themselves. Win.
