Every Sunday in September, the Ian Potter Centre is hosting Drop-by Drawing – free drawing sessions run by local artists. You don't have to be the next Da Vinci to participate as all ages and drawers (or non-drawers) are welcome to attend the sessions, and materials are all provided.
Contemporary Australian artist Stieg Persson, renowned for his abstract and eclectic works, will guide you through the first two-hour workshop, drawing on his own work and experience. Sunday September 8
This Welsh-born sculptor and printmaker will host the second Drop-by Drawing session, sharing his drawing techniques in a relaxed workshop. Sunday September 15
Self-taught artist Katherine Hattam, known for her unusual drawing techniques and experimentation with collage, encourages people to look at art from a new perspective. Sunday September 22
