Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

This photographic exhibition reveals the largely untold stories of the extreme motor-sport event which takes place every year on the vast salt plains of Lake Gairdner, South Australia. Willem-Dirk du Toit has captured the unforgiving Australian landscape, the 48-degree heat, and the eclectic group of people who battle the elements to exceed speeds of 400 km/h. The launch is on Thursday, October 3rd at 6pm, and the exhibition is free.
