Calling all artists: you can win a residency in a studio, courtesy of Dirty Playground and DuNord

Dirty Playground supports emerging, subversive art cultures and resurrects under-utilised spaces through the transformation or renovation of the space. Their mission is to enable forgotten infrastructures to flourish by marrying emerging artists with the reinvigorated space. (Pictured pre-reno!)

DuNord has partnered with Dirty Playground on their next project by offering their 110sqm basement space as a temporary artist studio. The theme for this project is 'Six Months of Darkness'. It's not only an expression of the Nordic months of darkness, but also a literal interpretation of the residency in a basement.

The theme is open for the artists’ interpretation with three successful applicants to be chosen. Artists will need to provide a 200-word bio or CV as well as examples of their work and a one-page proposal in response to the theme.
