Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society may have been running for 30-odd years the world over and be nearing its 11th birthday here in Australia, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a launch party in 2013!

Renowned for being the world’s leading Scotch club, the society bottles unique, single cask whiskies, and you usually have to be a member to get even a whiff of the goods – which, excellently, all have tasting notes for names like 'Amazing Toffee, Honey Sweetness', and 'Pregnancy Tea Mix'.

But, March will see the Society opening the doors to a home away from home of sorts, with their amber wares being made available for public sampling at the recently relaunched whisky bar and school, Whisky & Alement (formerly Chez Regine). Check it out, grain fans.
