It's the Great Australian Beer Spectapulaaaarrrr! It sounds like the Cirque du Soleil of beer and it pretty much is.
Running hot on the heels of Good Beer Week, the three day festival will see brewers from all over Australia, and some international contenders throw around 100 new release brews into the ring to be assessed by an esteemed panel of judges, and drunk by you.
Behold the freaky ingredients! Marvel at the daredevil brewer who grated 30-kilos of oranges so that he might enhance his oak aged American stout. That's a lot of citrus.
Whatever your feelings about beer, we guarantee you'll find something to float your boat. The gals from Two Birds in Sydney are going into battle with a coriander leaf, corn and lime infused beer they're calling 'taco'. Bacchus Brewing from Queensland are doing a white chocolate and raspberry pilsner, ferchrissakes!
The festival is only in its second year, but festival organisers Steve Jeffares and Guy Greenstone (who you might know from ace brew den the Local Taphouse) are expecting around 12,000 thirsty souls to rock up, drink up and maybe even attend the free seminars.
It's going to be a festival of deliciousness, replete with food stands and a beer market. Lock it in.
