Microbrew madness at the Great Australian Beer Festival
First published on . Updated on .
Paying homage to a city blessed by a multitude of microbreweries, specialty beer bars and cider houses, the Great Australian Beer Festival is coming to the Geelong Racecourse in February. Not only does this festival boast Australia’s biggest al fresco beer and cider garden, it will also be a day crammed with home-brewing workshops, gourmet food tastings, roving performers, and musical performances by Owl Eyes and Kylie Auldist of ‘The Bamboos’ fame. It’s $39 for entry, and tokens are $1.50: essential if you want to taste some of the 150 craft beers and ciders on offer.
