Time Out Melbourne

Acland Street Cantina will soon be saving lives with 3am tacos, but where else can you get a late night food fix?

Bar Ampere

Giving Siglo a run for its money, Ampere takes orders till 3am for everything from Ortiz anchovies and chicken liver parfait to a double patty beef and Gruyere burger if you don’t want to slum it. Melbourne.

The Bottom End

They usually charge cover on the weekends at this pub-come-disco-come-diner, unless you inform them that you’re just there for some deep-fried pucks of mac’n’cheese and a shrimp po’ boy. In other terrifying/awesome news, they’re now serving a chocolate biscuit-coated chicken fillet in a slider with salted caramel and apple. That’s a 3am mission right there. Melbourne.

Brother Burger and the Marvellous Brew

Y’all know about Danny’s Burgers in Fitzroy North (serving ‘til 3am) but this house of craft beers, chip butties and onion rings is also open to midnight. Just like Empire Records. Fitzroy.

Café Romantica

This classic Italian joint is licensed 24-7 for late-night tête-à-têtes, with the kitchen open till 2.30am. And they deliver! Last pizza/cheese board orders at 2.15am. Brunswick East.

China Bar

Hungry city diners pile into China bar at 4am for dumplings and pork noodles best consumed drunk. Staff bring you the bill before they bring you your food – they know their audience. Melbourne.

Cumulus Up

Andrew McConnell’s new temple of freaky wine and clean-and-clear flavoured snacks is huzzah-worthy for a million reasons, but we’re mostly excited about it being open till 1am. Last orders are at midnight, but that still means you can schedule in an 11.45pm 800-gram steak date. Melbourne.

Mamak

Flaky, buttery roti canai run through curry sauce, satay skewers and a mug of ginger infused pulled tea is just about as good as life gets for the half cut diner. Melbourne.

Mamasita

We love Mamasita, but we just cannot get down with that queue. We can, however, get down with the limited menu of tacos and cheesy quesadillas that you can order from 10pm until close. Melbourne.

Meatball and Wine Bar: Melbourne

Not content with their current state of rammed-ness, this CBD house of meatballs, fish balls and sliders is now open early for breakfast and is doling out sauced-up, balled-up subs till 1am, seven nights a week. Melbourne.

Melbourne Supper Club

Everyone knows about this Chesterfield-filled Melbourne institution serving croque monsieurs, parfaits, and cigars until the wee small hours, right? Good. Melbourne.
