A new addition to Smith Street, Yah Yah's is run by blokes you can trust when it comes to rock'n'roll. Specialist DJs spin soul, garage and rock while a rotating live band schedule holds steady Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in the main bar downstairs. Still spanking new and yet to really find its Melbourne mojo, Yah Yah's can do no wrong with city scenesters always on the lookout for a new place to start or finish their night in style. We're waiting patiently for the upstairs band room to open.
During the day Yah Yah’s opens its doors to host the Crate Digger Record Fair, never has a market and venue been so perfectly paired. Hoards of vinyl aficionados meet and carefully display their collections. Get there early - there is always a line of eager people busting to get inside and ferret through crates for that one record that has eluded them.
