Miss Katie's Crab Shack is moving to the old Rochester Hotel

Good news – starting next year, you'll be able to get crabs at the Rochester Hotel. And that's a far better thing than it sounds. Katie Marron, the most appropriately-named seafood chef in Melbourne, is uprooting Miss Katie's Crab Shack from North Melbourne's Public Bar and moving it into the old Johnston Street pub, which has laid dormant for the last few months. Brigitte and Jon Costelloe (The Aviary, Dr Morse) have taken over the defunct pub and will be spending the summer prettying up with the help of designers Merinda Garrett and Swear Words. The Rochester is dead. Long live the Rochester crab shack and dive bar!
