Inspired by the rat pack shenanigans of Dean Martin, Sammy Davis and Sinatra, Tony Starr wanted to capture some of the glitz and pizazz of the 50s and 60s. And so was born the Kitten Club, the glamorous pussycat of the Melbourne scene.
This is the kind of joint you pull on your glad rags, settle back with a cocktail or three and lose your self in the melodies of a sultry summer's eve.
The staff are easy on the eye and deliver top notch service, while the swinging Galaxy Room literally jumps with jazz, comedy and cabaret performances. It's dark and intimate and the perfect spot to canoodle with a lover to the silky sounds of swing.
