Tucked away innocuously just off the well beaten track of Fitzroy's Brunswick Street is a little legend of Melbourne's live music scene. Yep, parked just behind Blockbusters video is the Rainbow Hotel, proudly flying in the face of noise complaints for donkeys years.
Though Chick Strachan has since moved on, new owners Adam and Jason King are committed to keeping the music live and, for the most part free. A royal ambassador of the local music scene, the Rainbow has a proud tradition of nursing new talent.
