Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

Mesdames et messieurs, it's time to celebrate Bastille Day the proper way – and by that we mean pegging stale croissants at one another, getting your high-kicks on with a real Moulin Rouge can-can dancer and doing the twist to an excess of French pop music.

DJ Josh Collins and his partner Barbara Blaze (or Monsieur Pompidou and Madame Blazée for the occasion) have put together a massive collection of French vinyl spanning 30 years. Mind you, these will not be unleashed until Antoinne Polnaref and his backing band finish covering a who’s who of French '60s hits to get you go-going the night  away. BYO berets and tricolours, stale croissants provided.
