Alumbra is something special on Melbourne's club scene. Straddling the waterfront down at Docklands, you could almost imagine you were at a yacht party canoodling with the rich and famous - it's that glam.
The huge venue sprawls from a boat-side terrace out back through floor-to-ceiling glass walls to a large island bar with neighbouring sofas. A massive dance floor beyond sports one of Melbourne's best light and sound systems and a retro lit dance floor with sporadic glass panels showing off the smooth moves of the fish below. Upstairs has a far more luxurious, loungey feel for the truly A-list.
