Truscott makes light of a taboo, weilding a rapier wit
This event has finished
Can you make jokes about rape? Adrienne Truscott isn’t skirting the issue. In fact, she isn’t wearing any pants either, and rape jokes are exactly what she plans to do, all night long, even if you tell her to stop.
As part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2014, Adrienne unzips the rules and rhetoric about rape, comedy and the awkward (or awful) laughs when they collide, with a string of standup shows at the Portland Hotel.
Using commentary from George Carlin, Louis C.K and Robert De Niro, she takes on polka dots, pussy puppets, miniskirts and rape whistles, with enough gin and tonic to get a girl in trouble and her pussy talking. Set to pop music.
