This Toronto International Film Festival hit tells two stories in parallel. The first is the current-day tale of Antoine, a club DJ in Montreal who – despite having a girlfriend and two kids – is still in love with his ex wife. The second story is that of a single mother (Vanessa Paradis) in 1969, who is raising a son with Down’s Syndrome. A link between the pair is revealed as this French-Canadian drama about love and responsibility reaches its climax.
