Free outdoor movies on the banks of the Yarra River

For three weeks only, Point Park at Yarra’s Edge, Docklands will host free Movies Under the Stars on Thursday evenings. Pack a picnic or try some of the pre-movie dinner specials on offer by local restaurants and food trucks. There will also be acoustic tunes, entertainment and giveaways for all ages. To celebrate Melbourne’s rich arts scene, each week before the feature film kicks off, an exclusive preview of work from upcoming Made in Melbourne filmmakers will be shown.

The first 100 people to arrive will receive free beanbag hire. Gold coin donations will be collected on the night with proceeds going to local Melbourne charity Kids Undercover.

To get there, there is a free return ferry service from Federation Square, departing 6.30pm from Riverside Berth for the first 120 guests – or you can catch the free City Circle tram, or the #70 or #75 trams, via Flinders Street or the #11 or #48 via Collins Street.
