Are you the leisurely type who loves movies, inhaling upholstery and leaving food wrappers all over your car? If you are, get excited, because we've found the perfect night out for you.
In July, the Coburg Drive-In presented their first monthly Food Truck Festival, which saw Melbourne's own 1950s-style outdoor cinema improved with the addition of some of Melbourne's best food vans. September will be their third, and this time it's going to be warm to boot. The Instagramming possibilities alone are worth the trip. They've yet to announce this month's trucks, but do you really care? It's spring – we couldn't possibly think of anything better to do and we'd go if they were just serving popcorn and a slap to the head. As it happens, it could be White Guy Cooks Thai, or the Creme Brulee cart or Senor BBQ.
Tickets are $17.50 each, but a very reasonable $40 for a carload (up to five people). We’ll see you there.
