Trekkies will want to (boldly) go to this special screening
For one night only in July, Australian cinemas will be holding screenings in celebration of the quarter century since Star Trek: The Next Generation first went to air in 1987.
Two very popular episodes of the successful sci-fi reboot series will be screened. In shades of the revisions to the Star Wars trilogy, they have undergone a $10 million restoration with enhanced special effects.
The episodes are no. 106, ‘Where No One Has Gone Before’, and no. 114, ‘Datalore’.
The event will also feature ‘alternate content’ with inside looks at the restoration of season one, new interviews with cast, and behind-the-scenes footage.
So get ready to see all your old friends: Picard, Riker, Troi, Dr Crusher, Data, Worf, Jordi, the Annoying Kid, and the One Who Died in Season One!
A special screening will also be held at Palace Westgarth at the same time.
