The cautionary tale from your childhood becomes an adult slasher film, and we're offering you free tickets to the freak show
Ready for some candy-coated carnage? We hope so, because this February 6th Time Out Melbourne is inviting you to the tongue-in-cheek slasher freak show that is Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.
Connected in the very loosest way to the traditional folk tale, this quirky interpretation drops in on an adult Hansel and Gretel many years after their original run-in with the witch of gingerbread-house fame. These days, the pair are vigilantes actively hunting witches as some kind of blood sport – until the hunter becomes the prey once more.
English saucepot Gemma Arterton and all-American boy Jeremy Renner provide the eye candy (see what we did there?) and with Will Ferrell as a producer, anything could happen.
This screening is now full.
