March at Melbourne Cinémathèque will feature works from directors Aleksei German and Andrzej Zulawski. Both directors endured state oppression and censorship behind the Iron Curtain. German (who is Russian by the way) looks at the dubious past of the Soviet Union, while Pole Zulawski is known for his visceral art house cinema.
