Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

Twelve months after their first concert, the Decibelles are taking a more decadent turn

After the success of the all-male, all-inclusive choir, LowRez, Musical Director Nick Barker-Pendree assembled the all-female, also inclusive choir and called them the Decibelles. While Nick’s time with the choir is winding up (the bugger’s moved to Sydney), he’s seeing his time off in style with this concert.

It’s all about indulgence and excess, in a cheeky Art Deco-dent wrapper. They’ll be exploring the extravagance of Katy Perry, Lady Marmalade and Christina Aguilera among other divas. They’ll also be joined by special guests, the Melbourne Gay and Lesbian Chorus.

And don’t worry, the Decibelles are now safe in the hands of Minna Ikonen and Trudi Giouris and her Belle-X Team. There’s no wrecking ball to be seen here… Just sing out, Louise.
