Reports that the gay hub on Commercial Road is dead appear to be greatly exaggerated. Not only is DnM Bar and Nightclub, where the Xchange used to be, attracting large crowds and the old Market Hotel is undergoing renovations as we speak, but Stereo Lovers is reclaiming Commercial Road in their new home at Circus Bar.
Launched in July, Stereo Lovers is a gay night every Saturday, and presents a swish new interior, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and the best House music to get you on the dance floor – and keep you there until the very small hours of Sunday morning. Put together by the team behind Rogue and Daywash, Stereo Lovers is already pulling the crowds in, and looks like making Commercial Road the best place to dance to fresh and funky music once again. Because let’s face it, no one does dance clubs like the gays.
