A showcase of Australia’s ‘best vajazzle razzlers’ hosted by the World Reigning Queen of Burlesque? Oh go on then...

This event has finished

World reigning Queen of Burlesque Imogen Kelly presents the Bendy Burly All Stars, featuring aerial acts, lots of striptease, great costumes and a showcase of artists from the queer fringe.

Kelly has over 20 years of experience strutting her stuff – she's the World Reigning Queen of Burlesque, having won Miss Exotic World in Las Vegas – and her aim is to create a platform for queer performing artists. You can look forward to catching the acts of the following minxes, both female and male...

Glitta Supernova, long-term collaborator with Kelly, started out in the Sydney strip club in the early '90s and soon blossomed in the emerging Dyke S&M scene. Not just brassy on stage, she’s a make-up artist, stylist, mime artist and runs the queer talent club night Pretty Peepers in Sydney. Oh, she also co-founded Gurlesque, the world’s first lesbian strip club, with Imogen in 2000.

Speaking of which, Lillian Starr was discovered in Gurlesque and the sexy queer performer has since toured Europe and the United States with her raunchy repertoire.

Performance artist Betty Grumble is fairly new tapping the burlesque boards. This "former child beauty pageant star looking to keep her flame alive" invariably gets it wrong, but it doesn’t stop her from owning and celebrating her own body. A grotesque, sexy caricature, she has recently performed at the Edinburgh Festival and is definitely a chanteuse to watch.

Joining these talented titilators is UK burlesque and aerial performer Empress Stah. Not only was she the original Swinging from the Chandelier Girl, but this Empress of the Night has won awards from Edinburgh all the way to Adelaide.

Also from the UK, Reuben R Kaye is returning to his hometown Melbourne and bringing his queer and naughty take on cabaret and storytelling.

And to keep the boys happy there's Stripped Entertainment. Chris Talbot and Travis Scott, two sexed-up Speedos-only pole dancers all the way from Queensland, are sure to steam up the room.

Whatever takes your fancy, Bent Burlesque will thrill, excite and maybe even arouse...
