Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

One of the highlights of this year’s Melbourne Queer Film Festival was the locally produced feature, Monster Pies, written and directed by (gasp) Melbourne lad Lee Galea. It’s the story of two teenage boys working together on a school project re-imagining Romeo and Juliet, and finding themselves attracted to each other. A wonderfully poignant and honest film, it proved very popular, so ACMI are screening it again – twice. You can see it on Tuesday 9 April or Thursday 18 April at 7.30pm both nights. It’s worth catching, just for the fact that it’s local. Oh, and the cast and crew will be there too.
