If you thought gender-bending was very ‘now’, then take some time to see this show. Simon Morrison-Baldwin, as his drag persona Lady Diamond, plays the very courtly 18th century transvestite, Le Chevalier d’Eon. Hers is a story of politics, spies, intrigue, and fabulous frocks and wigs, of course, and it’s told in a mixture of drag performance, spoken word and song. That’s all you need to know about this patron saint of transvestites; the rest, naturally, is best experienced live.
