Melbourne can get pretty hot in summer – something that many people conveniently forget, until we’re hit with that four-day heatwave and they start bleating about how hot it is. Of course, this hot weather is the perfect excuse to get around wearing as little as possible, working on that tan. We’ve put together ten opportunities to parade around topless.

Prahran Aquatic Centre
Prahran	This is where the gay boys flock to preen their plumage and parade their packed lunch. The pool is overrun with tanned torsos, sexy Speedos, and happy chatter. Gay heaven.
Sandridge Beach
Port Melbourne	Sandridge, at the business end of Port Melbourne, is also the gay end. To the right of the Life Saving Club is a good parading ground – and so are the bushes. Speedos or shorts essential.
Fitzroy Swimming Pool
Fitzroy	Northside gay boys and girls can be seen flaunting themselves along the poolside bleachers under the pretence of swimming laps for fitness. Sorry guys, we know why you’re really here...
The Tan
Fitzroy	Looking for an excuse to run with your singlet tucked into your shorty shorts? The Tan is best place to show off – er, exercise. And you won’t be the only one; much mutual appreciation will be had.
Rogue’s NYD 2013
TRAK, Jan 1	This day dance party is a great start to 2013 – especially on the first floor balcony. Perfect for dancing with your shirt off and hands in the air like you just don’t care.
