A phone chat line leads to a volatile relationship

After screening at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival last month, the new film from Ira Sachs, Keep The Lights On, is now available on DVD, thanks to Love Films. It’s the story of two men, Erik and Paul, who hook up via a pre-internet phone chat line and embark on a tempestuous and volatile relationship. There’s lots of sex and drug-taking – and risk-taking as well, especially for Erik, and it paints a picture not too dissimilar to many gay men’s lives today. Check it out now, it’s available at JB Hi-Fi stores in the city, Prahran, and Camberwell.
