There’ll be no gloopy papier-mâché sessions at these school holiday workshops. The crafty Convent creatives have packed their two-week program with stimulating and unusual activities that kids can enjoy while you relax in the lush historic surrounds.  Booking is essential. Classes include:

Do You Know Your Monsters?: Create a short puppet film. 10am-noon. $35. Mon Apr 7 & Mon Apr 14.

African Drumming with Mohamed Camara: Journey from Guinea to West Africa with your djembe. 1pm-2pm. $20. Wed Apr 9 & Fri Apr 11.

The Pop-up Book Factory:
Experience the world of publishing in just two hours. 10am-noon. $27. Tue Apr 8 & Thu Apr 17.

Creative Dance Workshop: Express yourself with international dance troupe KAGE. 1pm-2pm. $18. Tue Apr 8 & Tue Apr 15.

Be an Art Explorer With Melbourne Art Therapy Studio:
Play with paint, clay, pastels and collage. 10am-noon. $40. Wed Apr 9 & 1pm-3pm. $40. Mon Apr 14.

Hula Hoop Dance Stars: Earn your Dance Star certificate by learning 12 hula hoop tricks. 11am-noon. $20. Thu Apr 10 & Wed Apr 16.

Circus Stars: Stun your family with a spectacular performance at the end of the day. 1pm-3pm. $31. Thu Apr 10.

Design Your Own Picture Book Cover: Children’s illustrator Marjory Gardener will bring her personal folio for inspiration. 10am-noon. $40. Fri Apr 11 & Tue Apr 15.

Dream Catchers: Weave your way to your own beautiful dream catcher to take home. 1pm-3pm. $27. Mon Apr 7 & Thu Apr 17.

Sun Printing: Design a nature-themed work of art with special sun-sensitive paper. 1pm-2pm. $31. Wed Apr 16.
