If there's one thing we know about kids, is that they love getting right up close to bugs, animals and plants at the museum. As part of International Museums Day, families will get the chance to hear from experts in palaeontology, marine biology, herpetology, birds and mammals, entomology, live exhibits and mineralogy, looking behind the scenes at the Museum's diverse collections. Don't miss out on the skull of the fearsome sabre-tooth cat, a two-metre long Cretaceous marine crocodile, and if you're up for it, live stick insects and scorpions.
