The brainchild of life coach Lyndall Mitchell, the Master Classes of Wellness held at the Aurora Spa Retreat aim to allow you to overhaul your life.
Through a series of guided visualisation, exercises, a wheel of balance and Venn diagrams, Mitchell can get to the root of which areas of your life need attention and what the solutions might be. Time Out had a session and was given practical solutions as how to ease problematic areas and make the most of our strengths. The results were enlightening – and not conclusions we had managed to come to under our own steam.
The 90-minute monthly classes will cater to approximately ten people and the $50 fee is redeemable on product.
Mitchell opened Aurora Spa in 1997 with a focus on relaxation and wellness, having come from an idyllic part of Queensland where she grew up eating produce from the trees. She worked at Camp Eden Health Retreat in Currumbin, which was groundbreaking in its holistic treatments, and realised she wanted to start an urban retreat. Her work as a life coach, until now, has been kept quite separate from Aurora Spa, but with these classes and her work with Deborah Hutton (Women of Balance), her talents are truly working cohesively.
The spa itself offers everything from two-hour pamper packages to steam treatments and massages, Aurora has a therapeutic treatment to revive the body and mind. Can't make it to the spa? All of the products are available so you can create your own spa experience at home.
