Songs of Revolution at Victor Hugo: Les Misérables from Page to Stage

This event has finished

Do you hear the people sing?

If you've seen Les Misérablesthen no doubt you've been stirred to revolutionary fervour brought on by the musical's timeless, uplifting songs. As part of the exhibition Victor Hugo: Les Misérables from Page to Stage, the State Library is hosting a series of lunchtime pop-up concerts. On Tuesday September 2, September 16 and September 23, three student choirs will perform a selection of songs from the musical.

We're particularly excited about the Friday September 19 concert, in which students from the VCA will perform a rousing medley of protest songs, from 19th century revolutionary choruses to the Clash. Know Your Rights, people of Melbourne!
